The Artist:

Born in Inverell, NSW 1939, Rod showed an early ability in black and white sketching and began painting in oils in 1967.  Self taught, he has exhibited in many Art Shows throughout Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, achieving much success with his many one-man exhibitions, the first in 1972.

Rod resigned his position as a company executive with a national printing company in 1974 to paint on a full time basis. With his  late wife’s full support, quickly  found his place in the Victorian Art scene. Rod, Gwen, and son Malcolm, as owners of the Windeyer Art Gallery, were all converted to the Christian faith in 1981 and as a consequence, the landscape took on  new meaning and a new beauty, for the whole  family.

Rod’s paintings have been purchased to hang in the collections of many companies including Dulux Australia, Lipton, The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and The National Australia Bank.

Since painting professionally Rod has received many awards including some forty “First” and “Best Oil” prizes.

He proclaims his faith in every painting, as he signs his work with the “Christian fish”.

His life has  been blessed with his

recent marriage to Lyn Adams, in

September 2007.        Lyn too, is a

born again Christian .

They make their home together in

Melbourne, Australia.

Text Box: Biographical Notes
“..From my earliest memories, I recall a love for drawing, with paintings always evoking a wonderment in me. I longed for the opportunity to try my hand at the art but circumstances prevented me from any involvement in the arts until I reached the age of 26. My late start at the easel served only to press my lost time into an almost frenzy of painting, for the Australian bush has been in my blood from birth.
The Northern Tablelands of New South Wales drew from me a love for the landscape which has endured for a lifetime, and our move to Victoria in 1968 only served to focus that passion even more finely .....
